Lookup Perry County Clerk Records

The Perry County Clerk records search is separate from court case access through the Circuit Court Clerk. County Clerk Wayne Napier handles land records, marriage licenses, notary bonds, open-records requests to the County Clerk, elections, motor vehicle services, and related county records. Perry County Clerk records can involve counter service, mail, eCCLIX subscriber access, e-recording vendors, and DOC ALERT fraud notices. Court case files, divorce decrees, criminal cases, dockets, and probate case copies remain with the court clerk.

Perry County County Clerk

The Perry County Clerk website identifies Wayne Napier as County Clerk and describes the office as responsible for indexing and housing legal land records, marriage licenses, and notary bonds. The County Clerk also handles vehicle renewal options, elections, absentee ballot access, candidate filings, and delinquent-tax links. These are county administrative records, not Circuit or District Court case files.

The split clerk structure is important in Perry County. If the request is for a court case, hearing, criminal file, divorce decree, or District Court probate case, use the Circuit Court Clerk. If the request is for a deed, mortgage, lien, marriage license, recorded will, notary bond, or a County Clerk open-records request, use Wayne Napier's office.

Perry County Land Records

The County Clerk's land-record function covers deeds, mortgages, liens, wills recorded with the clerk, and other legal instruments listed in the recording-fee schedule. The Perry County Clerk online land records page names eCCLIX as the internet version of CCLIX, a county clerk indexing system used in many Kentucky county clerk offices.

eCCLIX is described as a subscriber system for viewing or printing online documents from home or office. The page promotes it for title follow-ups, estate settlements, appraisals, and closing-table searches. The research does not describe eCCLIX as a free public guest database. It directs users to subscriber login and sign-up.

Perry County eCCLIX and DOC ALERT

eCCLIX sign-up may be submitted by mail with check or money order, or faster by printing and faxing the form to 1-502-266-9447 or emailing sales@smllc.us. Software Management emails an electronic invoice the same business day and accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. The research lists Software Management sales at 502-266-9445 and ecclix@smllc.us.

DOC ALERT is also promoted on the County Clerk online land records page. It is a free mortgage and deed fraud notification tool from Software Management. Registration requires a name and email. Once registered, DOC ALERT sends an email whenever a mortgage or deed bearing the registered name or business name is recorded at the County Clerk's Office.
